Retarders. Set or set retarding mixture is used in concrete. mixes to slow hydration process of cement and they are set.
Their action is most desirable in the case of high temperature. Temperatures can reduce the time setting of the concrete enough. They lack the same if not unexpected. Or delay the timing of the cast.
